hey. i searched a souple of forums and still no definite clue. If i run an open dump w/ a 14b. why can't you pass emissions. what would happen to the air/fuel ratio? what exactly would this do. ??? detailed explanations would be appreciated :dsm: :rocks:

Because you would be dumping exhaust gases straight out of the motor into the air. No cat, no muffler, nothing. Just a straight piece of pipe pointing at the ground.
 
Most of the time you can still pass the emissions test because you will not be building boost. Any place that wants to keep their inspection licence will fail you for the visible inspection. Dumping exhaust to the atmosphere before it sees a cat converter is illegal. I run an O2 dump and somehow snuck through inspections :cool: . -Matt :dsm:
 
doesn't matter for emissions but i was very curious. Live in south florida....no emissions here! LOL! :dsm:
