OMG could this crack do damage ?

I was taking off my manifold studs and before i got to start on this one i noticed this. Will this be OK or am i just screwed ?

Just like it is right now will not harm anything, otherwise than the stud may be prone to strip the threads if tighten too much. just be careful to not overtorque
the stud.

Since the head is off the car you could take it to a machine shop get it welded and then re-taped. Then you will have no wories about poscibly striping a stud and getting a boost leak.

what sucks is I just got it form the machine shop last month. I'm considering just letting it go since it will prob be alright. If i could squueze some jb weld in there would it help any ?

I would Jb weld it to make sure it dosen't get worse. Its not really a "fix" but it will do the job until a proper fix can be done.

It looks like the stud went too far into the head and the un-threaded part of the stud was forced to push the metal away. Especially since the metal the studs are made so much stronger than the aluminum that the head is made from. I would get it taken care of properly while the head is off, it could cause you a big headache later.
