Is this crack bad?

Alright, i bought a used 2g mani from ebay from a company dealing in used dsm parts. On ebay, it says the manifolds are guaranteed to have no cracks. But after the mani arrived, and did a quick inspection and found this. The pic isn't very clear, but you can see the crack on the right side of that thin center thing (not sure what it is). My plan is to port the manifold, so i need to know if it is worth the hassle to send it back and mess with the company, or if it is okay to keep. I cant get the attachment button to work, so this is what i got. And i forgot to add that the crack is clear on both sides of that thin wall in the manifold.

hard to see anything but that looks like a casting flaw more than a crack to me.
to see if its a crack stuff the ports full of rags and stick a flashlight inside and turn the lights out. if you see light its a crack and needs to be welded before you waste time doing anything.

personally if it is a crack and its guaranteed i would have them send a call tag since they shipped a defective product that should have been inspected prior to shipping.

like i said though it looks like a casting flaw to me.

I can see it. No cracks are good. But most stock manifolds are cracked. it is normal.

Okay, you cant see the crack that well in the first pic. Look at this one. The crack is on the left of the thin metal piece inside the manifold. It is visible on both sides. What do you guys think?

Send it back or have it welded.

any cracks are not a good idea and it will just migrate the crack if you actually use it like that.

When i get it ported, what do they do. When a manifold is ported does that thin metal piece get ground out of there?

usually no. they just open the ports up to match the gaskets.
