Was this based on actual experience of bending/throwing Eagle rods, or just a "feeling"?

I know that some very reputable DSM shops are using them on their 600-650whp engines without any problems.

But then again, there have not been any problems with Crower rods ether, so if you can get them for roughly the same price and they make you feel beeter, then why not get them?

Crower is a very reputable company that makes a great product. However, I've nevered cared much for their stuff. One, its way over priced. Two, its like Nike, you pay for the name. Three, there are some other companies out there w/ better products and bettoer pricing. Eagle just happens to be one. The eagle rods get shafted mainly b/c of the price, people think, cheap rods= inexpensive rods. Well in reality the manufactoring of them is probably not that expensive, but crower has been out there for so long it thinks it can get that price for them. I'm not an expert on this, so pardon my ignorance. But now I have come down to deciding what to do about cams, I don't trust web, and HKS, well...
So. there is crower, I just don't know.

That is not really true, have you pried their valve springs/titanium retainers? They are changing the standrard of how much these cost and eventyally everyone else will have to lower their prices.

And you want really expensive rods, Have you priced Pauter?

However, Eagle just seems to make more sense in this case for most people...

why are you guys insisting on building anything for 400whp? theres people on stock 1g motors running 500whp all day and night.
