Ok, everyone hates my wing.....

I hate the wing too, while the body work is being done to it, the wing is coming off and a new one will go on. Any suggestions? Any better ones? Im gonna sell is to a honda guy for 100 bucks!

wtf? most people who buy those wings realize it wont do jack shit to their car, they just think it would look nice, personal preference my friend, not "Hey THIs isMadTytE FsAT YO!!11"

All nasty things to say about the old wing aside, as they don't really owe anything to the point of the post (ahem), the stock wing this guy showed looks great, and going wingless looks great on 1gs. Go for it!

My friend has FWD and he had a ricer wing on it. He took it off to get it painted and his back end would slide out more often with it off. Unless you have experience, don't talk. And yes, I know yuour going ot say, "your friend doesn't know what he's talkinga bout, sceince says "blah blah blah""

I seem to remember reading that having any kind of wing only greats sensible downforce at 90 plus. Which this dsm doesnt see much. I will be going wingless.

That wing is the very thing that gives any tuner a bad name. Why dont you throw some NOS stickers all over it get some hubcap rims and get some fast and furious floor mats from autozone. The only purpose that wing would have is naturally on a rwd possibly awd car but the 1gs should never ever have a rigged up piece of metal that you could make in a high school shop class on it. I feel like putting your car in Jackass and throwing steve-o and jonny knocksville off of it against a curb into some bushes.

generally a wing would not provide enough downforce to do anything until you are at a top speed. Your friend probably was not driving properly because a FWD car will rarely have the back end slide out, it will drift to the outside which is understeer. a RWD car will have the back-end slide out depending on the power. wings on our cars are purely for looks. I like the stock 3-piece wing, gives it a stealthy look.

I agree, wingless with a 2 in drop would look very nice. I like the all out black look, very sleeperish! Thank you for getting rid of that wing , the dsms, especially the 1g's look horrible with metal wings.
