I've read a post in this forum that stated Garret turbos tend not to leak with the increased oil pressure generated by relocation of the oil feed line. Is this a myth or is this a valid statement?

You mean the relocation from the head to the oil filter housing?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't 2G's feed from the oil filter housing stock? Many, many 2G's use Mitsu turbos fed from the filter housing with no leaks.....

Many, many 1G's relocate to the filter housing and run Mitsu turbos with no leaks as well...

Sorry, I'm referring to the turbo themselves after the relocation. They (mitsu's) tend to leak after the relocation due to the increase pressure. Is this true?

I ran my big 16g with a ss braided steel from the filter housing on my old 2g gst without a hint of leaking. That and switching from the head to the oil filter housing does have a VERY significant increase in pressure, the is a restrictor on both the stock 2g oil feed line and the aftermarket ss braided steel. Without this restrictor there would be turbo failure almost immediately.
