Oil PSI Problem

Dont move this please. I havent been getting any answers so id like to keep my own post. So, for a while, my oil psi (stock) gauge read just under the normal mark. About a week ago, it went down, barely off of the "L" mark. Itd come up a little bit on startup but slowly dropped. Now, for the last 2 days, its back to just shy of the normal mark. I was convinced i spun a bearing but there is NO knocking, NO power loss, just nothing outta the ordinary. So please, can someone help me out?? Thanks DSMer's.

This might not be what you want to hear, but I would recommend getting a more accurate oil pressure guage. You just can't trust the stock one. This may be a dumb question but are you sure it is full of oil and does it have pretty good/new oil in it or is the oil old/time to be changed? Also what weight of oil are you using?

Yea the oil is right where it should be. I use Castrol GTX 10W-30 and i bought some Lucus a few days ago. How longs it take to hookup a new gauge? And i am changing my oil in about 1500 more miles so i guess its fairly used. still clear though. isnt black.

i would recommend a new after market gauge like autometer the stock gauges tend to ware out over time. they come with directions it should only take about an hour or so depends on what equipment you have.

if your not having any problems like knocking, ticking, bucking, anything out of the ordinary then no i dont think so.

gosh i hope so. i love my talon so much and cant blow this up until i get my tsi. otherwise, id have no way to work. every once in a while, when i launch and i shift to 3rd gear, itll buck a tiny bit for like a half a second. the only ticking i can hear is the injecters, and sometimes, if u really listen, theres like the slightest bit of knocking. its rare though. and i mean u REALLY have to listen to it to tell. but if anything was wrong, it should be pretty obvious right? and its done this since i got it 6 months ago or so. But yea, definatly nothing out of the ordinary.
