oil pressure switch questions

Is it possible to run without an oil pressure switch? Mine leaks just a little, just wondering because I'm not sure where the wire is for it, and I'm not even sure if I have the right pressure switch, the OEM looks different online ( http://www.streettunedmotorsports.com/parts/b/oem_evo_dsm_oil_pressure_switch.jpg )

I was also wondering, if my pressure switch wasn't connected, could it cause a battery drain? Something else I've been trying to fugure out.

Battery drain never heard of that, sounds like something else. Looks like mine, connect it and go. Looks like my oil indicator light. My pressure one is on the bottom of my ofh, and looks like a bell.

the link is what your supposed to have I guess, mine looks different, it doesn't have the electircal contact tab it has a threaded stud that pushes in, but it leaks.

there are 3 small 16-18 guage wires that follow the path of the alternator wires, 2 red wires have a push tab connector and a ring terminal, and 1 regular blue wire encased in a black sleve. Any clue where these wires go?I assumed the ring was for the pressure switch but now it doesn't look like I have the right kind?
