so i just finished my 6bolt/2g head install and got the car running but i noticed the needle on the cluster is all the way at high.
i cleaned out the wires and made sure they were pluged to sender but still same thing.

the odd thing is it stays up even when car is off.

i do have an aftermarket gauge but the sender is faulty so im waiting on new one.
but for now when can cause this and how can i go about a process of elimination?

What is considered normal oil pressure off these engines (warmed up) at idle and at or over 4K?

not the needle up there LOL but i've seeing a few dsm gages go bad never an oil pressure though still the point is if you checked the sending unit and everything the the gage should be the problem beside just install the after market one cause the stock ones don't really tell you anything.

so you think is the gauge unit in the cluster? or who knows perhaps it did get stuck im going to change the sender for another one i had laying around and see what happends if not ill change clusters also ill post up results.

So i had a spare cluster and put it in and worked fine... so the gauge was the problem. i took it apart and inspect and it was actually stuck gave it a lil pushed and bounce back to its place.:thumb:
