Hey just wondering if the 1st gen 7 bolt oil pickup tube will work in a 6 bolt? I know people use 2nd gen 7 bolt oil pickup tubes all the time just didn't know if they where the same and just one has a bracket.

I don’t know for a fact, but logic would suggest you should be able to use a 1G 7-bolt pick up tube (MD181211) on a 6-bolt since, as you mentioned, people often use the 2G pick up tube (MD181210) on them or vice versa and remove the extra support.

Since the 1G and 2G 7-bolt use the same oil pump, the 1G 7-bolt pick up tube will bolt up. Worst case, minor modification could be required.

See and that what I was thinking just cut the bracket off and run it, it clears the pan just fine
