Leaking from the bolt on the bottom left of the head, on the side. It has a washer on the screw infront of the.. oil feed for turbo, but nothing on the other side of that. It won't get tight either, just spins when I get to the end, but I can take the screw in and out. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Thanks

ok, where do I get the washer? and is it actually called a crush washer, because I went everywhere today and they had no idea what I was talking about. ROFL

EDIT**
Also I do not have.. it looks like the other hose that goes into the turbo, right under the oil feed. it just isnt connected to the other side its from the turbo then it spaces out?

It's call copper crush washers though aluminum crush washers will work much better since the head is aluminum.

Sounds like the coolant lines, looks like the coolant passage on the turbo has been blocked off. :nono:

If you are talking about the banjo bolt for the oil feed line, the threads are crossed. You will need to repair it first.

I did end up thinking that and got the aluminum ones when I figured the copper ones would work.

I'm not sure on this, in the picture Where the red line is , its that little hose(right under the yellow), connected to the turbo. Still the coolant?

Yes, would I only have to get the bolt re-threaded?

Thanks again oldman :thumb:

Make sure you have one on each side.

I think it's the coolant feed line, one end should connect to the block side (back side) of the turbo, the other end to a radiator hose that loops around and connects to the bottom nipple at the thermostate housing.

No, it's not the threads on the bolt that is crossed, it's the threads in the aluminum head. You can try running a tap through to see if it might clean it up but most likely you need to read up on "Heli Coil Inserts".

You're welcome.

Ok, I had washers on each side of it at first, thin little copper ones, but I didn't think they were right. So the reason why it must be leaking is the threads.

I'll have to check on that and get back.

Ok, What size tap do I need?

Thanks :laser:

How can it seal when you can't tighten the bolt to crush the cush washers? You need to fix the crossed threads first.

I'm about 90% sure it's m10 x 1.25 but you should bring the bolt with you to make sure.

well it goes all the way in, but then it doesn't tighten, I would screw it all the way in and then start it, but it would still leak.

Once you fix the threads and are able to tighten it down you should be fine, snug tight and nothing more.
