Oil leak

Well i have a 91 Tsi, and i have been noticing i have oil dripping and it falling on the ground from around the oil sending unit. There is alot of oil on the balance belt and all over the oil sending unit. I was wondering if this was a common problem, and how hard it would be to fix it, and if anyone could tell me other areas to search that would normly leak oil.

Did you take off your lower timing belt cover to check for oil? If it's on your BS belt, I'd suspect it's one or more of your seals ie. crankshaft, oil pump, and/or balance shaft. Try taking a picture of it.

Sounds like the oil pump seal, or a oil pump gasket.

Ya i forgot to take pictures when i went back last night. I will get some tonight it starts from the front motor mount, and goes pretty much all around there. I don't see oil on any other belt other then the balance shaft. but its all under my car i'll show you guys

Check you're balance shaft because I had the same leak, did a balance shaft elimination, and I am now drip free
