Oil leak hehind timing cover after belt and balancer shaft delete

Like it says in the title, I used thread sealer on all the bolts for the front cover, installed the bolt where the balance shaft pully was and used thread sealer. Installed new crank seal and oil pump seal. Installed the balancer shaft delete kit from Dino parts, and yes used JB weld on the plug. Drove the car to work today 80 miles and found oil all under the car.When I got home I removed the timing cover to see oil all over the inside of the timing cover. When I did the install I pressured washed all the parts to be reinstall so the front cover, timing cover were very clean. The leak I am having is very big, so im going to reinstall the alternator, water pump, and crank pully and run it for a while and see if I can tell were its coming from.

My question is what would be the most likely place for an oil leak this big, im suspecting the oil pump front cover seal. Thanks for the help, oh yea I did a search and well nothing really helped.

I let the car idle for 3 minutes and can not find a leak. Im thinking it leaks when driving, maybe under boost not sure. Im gonna take it for a ride and maybe that will tell me.

Went for a ride and now the damm thing is not leaking. Im gonna go for a longer ride and see if I can make it leak. By the way what is the front case plug (castle plug) for.

Just got back from a ride and yes its leaking oil but I can not tell from where. I guess im gonna pull the timing belt and see whats going on. It seems to be leaking behind the oil pump sprocket but not sure. Any ideas would help, anyone. One more thing, could it be the oil pan.

One more thing, anyone ever had a oil pressure sending unit leak from where the wire hook up. I noticed it has a rubber seal on the front. Looking at mine, it has a dent in the front next to the rubber seal. Input needed.

Ok take off the timing cover put the crank pulley back on then start it up and see if u can pin point the leak.Hey dont let it over heat cause doing this will have the engine running without any form of cooling.

The rides I have been taking are with the timing cover off. I installed the belt for the water pump so it did not over heat. Can not see any leaks at idle.

Look very closely at the timing cover. A little investigation of the oil splatter or "slinging" pattern will usually point to the area it's coming from. (Think about the way the belt is rotating and where the oil splash starts/stops)

Did you remove the tensioner? A common leak point that gets overlooked is the two bolts that hold the hydraulic tensioner on. The bolt holes go into an oil galley...but they shouldn't leak a "lot". Another good candidate is the seal for the oil pump shaft (sprocket), which would agree with the area you said you think it's leaking from. This would be the most likely culprit IMHO, because a shaft seal is more likely to change it's leakage due to the speed of the shaft rotation.

IIRC, the castle plug is an access point for the shaft of the oil pump; but it's been a while since I was in it.
