Oil leak above oil drain?

i found that leak that probably only happens under boost. Or at least more so under boost. i noticed a few little drops the other day but last night after going for a drive and doing 2 pulls only to 5500rpm i noticed this when i parked. heat wrap was pretty much saturated. i haven't got it on a left yet to check it out, im kinda afraid to move it. just trying to get some ideas.

Could be a bunch of different spots. Could be oil drain gasket, could be oil pan gasket, could be valve cover gasket, could be shooting from the oil pressure sending unit or oil filter if they are loose enough.

Try adding some UV dye to the engine oil to try and see where it's coming from. It helps if you clean all the spots around there as well.

Get under and look at it close. You will be able to identify a leaky oil drain pretty easily. Whipe it all clean, run it, and take another look. You'll see fresh oil.

I would be careful driving around with oil soaked heat wrap on hot exhaust parts.
There's been more than a few engine bay fires from exactly that.

Its soaked pretty low on the downpipe, so its not as if it was the exhaust manny soaked in oil, but it's still hot and given the right conditions could prove hazardous.

I could be comming from behind the block.. there a hole about 3 inches above the oil pan and if there isn't a bolt in it... the oil shoots out... just maybe an idea..
