Took off my intake to cut the dump tube and I have tons of oil in the IC piping and in the dump tube and just on the IC piping in general.

Thoughts?

Is this normal? Installing a catch can as we speak.

Anything else I should check while I have this off?

catch can will help a lot but it is usually signs that the turbo is going bad

Not necessarily, if his breather is still hooked into the intake pipe it'll oil it down like it was designed by BP :D.

Pull your breather line off and stick a filter/catch can on it. Plug the line going to the intake. No more oil in intake system... After you eliminate that flush out your IC... it's going to be a mess inside.

just get/make a catch can, get some cheap gas and clean your piping and IC with it. make sure you get it all out, and make sure you let it dry. problem fixed, and so will the mess in your IC

Yea I just installed a catch can, there is actually a little stream of oil from the intake to the IC piping, will have pictures soon.

Is there somewhere that links how to remove the IC piping that the BOV is connected to? I lifted the fuse box and couldn't really see anything that would indicate how to take it off.:ohdamn:

Do I need to use jb weld to put the BOV back in the IC pipe/BOV housing? Seemed to have some kind of sealer on it when I pulled it out (white film) :hmm:

How large of a turbo drain line are you using. If the line is to small the will not drain properly and cause it to blow oil past the seals of the turbo.

Whatever the stock drain is.

Pics as promised

The last one looks oilier then it actually is.

I put it all back together and am going to just order hard pipes instead of spending hours cleaning the stock ones.

It seems I may have fixed a boost leak in the process whether it was silicone sealing the BOV or just tightening the brackets, car seems much more responsive even though all I did was a catch can.

the idle is steady but the arm moves about a millimeter in either direction, don't think that is anything to even think about though.

wow i literally just came in from removing my intake and mine looked exactly like that, maybe even a little more oil in it. weird.

Does the PCV valve vent into the TB if its worn out? Could this be what is leaking oil into the TB elbow and what I can only assume is the TB too?
