Oil in intercooler

When I took my laser apart I found between 1-2 cups of oil in my intercooler and not sure why. I haven't found anything on the forums yet. My turbo has a little vertical play in it, fins don't rub as far as i can tell. When i took my pistons out my #3 had separated from it self. Maybe that is why. I don't know why it did that. Any advice on this, or anything else to do with my rebuild would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I would say one of 2 things, the turbo oil seals are bad so it pushing oil in to the pipes, but you would also have blue smoke coming from the exhaust when boosting, or it could be a build up from the vent from the valve cover that goes in to the intake.

I did put in a new PCV, and I deffinately had blue smoke from my exhaust when boosting, but no other time while driving.

Blue smoke means you are burning oil! and if it is only when your are boosting I would say bad oil seals in your turbo!

if your not too fond of doing a turbo rebuild yourself, PM JusMX on the forums here, he does great work for a good price and is the go-to guy with turbos on the forums

This is my first car with a turbo, so I don't know anything about rebuilding one. I see there is some stuff on here showing how to do it. I will try to check him out. Thanks talon2gbuyer
