just took out my intercooler for cleaning and i noticed some oil in the upper and lower intercooler pipes, not alot just a small amount around where the pipes join any ideas, i flushed the intercooler and there wasent any in there. side note my car has sat a long time and its currently smoking white at wot and start up , i know this is oil so either the oil is leaking from turbo or i have bad rings any help please

dsm's have pretty high carnk case preasure some even spit out a little oil out of oil cap non the less you can buy a filter instead of taking the air through the normal track i had the same problem on my 92 talon just get a filter of crank case catch can like this one for 14 $ at pro street or any other place

yeah mine does leak oil outta the oil cap i ordered a new gasket from mach v . so the oil is coming from the line that comes from the valve cover to the intake?

figured it out it is coming from the valve cover tube that goes to the intake im gonna put a breather filter on it

i wouldent use a breather filter unless you want oil every where. instead take the hose to a store like advanced auto and get a fuel filter the sams size as the hose. nothing special just a plastic oil filter about 1 1/2 inches in diameter, and hook the hose back into the intake. this will fix the problem of having oil in your intake system, and keep your engine bay from being oily. o yeah and make sure to drain that filter every so often.

69000 on whole car im sure its this though cause the oil starts right behind the cone, not right after the turbo

have you checked your pcv valve?..and a warning on just a breather filter..it increased the lifter tick tremendously because it wasnt muffled as much as it was when it was going back into the intake track..

I use an in-line filter. Much cleaner. Just pick up a cheap lawnmower fuel filter stick it in-line.

no man dont do that, the diagram has a catch can, its different, the can has venting of some sort thats what the pcv and the other hose are for, the best thing i can think of other than buying an expensive catch can is doing that in line filter thing. i will try to find the sight i saw it at.

thx man i was looking for that site i saw it a while back but couldnt figure out where it was im gonna do it tonight
