Oil gauge Low?

Hey i was wondering. Maybe like a weak ago, i had a vavle job done and all my belts replaced and now my oil gauge goesnt move up and down like it should. Like before when i gava it has the oil would go high but now its just stays in the low part. Anyone know what this might be. My car sorta feel weaker. I have enough oil and my temps are ok, no check engine light. My temps only go high when im in traffic at 102 degress outside. Any sugesstions?

Put the wire back on the sensor.

Defiant probably nailed it right there - the little black wire tends to hang down low so it can snag on stuff and get pulled off. currently mine's missing......
