Oil filter/housing wiring

Hey guys I have a black and brown wires that come down next to my oil filter. Right now my oil housing is not hooked up at all, and I need to know how its supposed to look like and where those 2 wires go. Is there supposed to be a line connecting something down there too?

I can take pictures if it helps.

On the oil filter housing there is a switch and a sender. The switch points out to the front of the car and is usually a silver color, while the sender is a brass color and points down. Check if there is a connection to both of these, they both use 2 wires and the switch controls your oil light and the sender controls the oil gauge.
