Oil Coming Out My Exhaust

First off I already searched and didn't find much. My car is a 90 GSX and I just replaced the head with a freshly rebuilt one due to a melted valve. Yesterday I went to start it and it hesitated but it did start. It started to smoke so I shut it off. I looked under the car and there was a puddle of oil. The exhaust is running right out of the O2 housing FYI. I checked the compression because I thought the oil was getting by my rings but compression is 170 all the way across the board. Need some help guys. Thanks in advance.

yea the head was given to me by a good friend and the head was just rebuilt and it had 2,000 miles on it.

Hey whats up guys i just pulled my Exhaust manifold off and the 2 ports on the outside are dry and black but the 2 middle ones have oil all in them on the motor and the manifold to so what does that mean... is the piston rings bad or is it something else??? thanks guys

seals.... valve stem seals or piston rings....

compression test 1st, leakdown test 2nd....

turbo seals would get oil in all of the exhaust manifold runners....

sounds like this head was rebuilt poorly, and even if it was rebuilt doesn't mean they put fresh seals in.....

Damm I was sceard of that i got this car off Ebay like 6months ago and this kid said it was stock and that nothing was ever done to it.... I didnt go to FL i have a friend that lives there i gave him the money and he went picked it up drove it home and then i had it sent to Jersey... the more and more i rip apart the more shit im finding out... the heat dosnt work.. it has no AC.. he ripped everything out of it.. i love the car ..but im like way in over my head.. i can do some things but.. I have a feeling im gonna end up redoing this whole car by the time im done this sucks... the only reason i thought the car was a good deal cause it only has 109,000 org miles cause i did a car fax on it.. but looks like im in a little over my head.. oh man.. but thanks bro im gonna go to pep boys this weekend and get a comp tester.. and do that and see what it says thanks for everything... : )

I had some oil coming out of my exhaust too. it wasnt as bad as what yours is doing. Mine was my valve seals though. I replaced them by using the string or rope method and keeping the head on the car. After I replaced them, never have had a problem again.
