EDIT: For anybody that searches for coupler sizing....

The 2g mas is a 3.75" coupler. A 3.5" fits but it's a very tight fit. The 4" is too large. The circumference of the 2g mas is 11.8", do the calculation yourself if you want, but 3.75" is the correct size.

The 16g inlet is 2.25" without the black rubber spacer, and 2.5 with the spacer. Either one will work.

The third commandment... thou shalt not post information on this forum when you have never done it yourself and obviously don't know what you are talking about.

Are you seriously going to keep telling people that it's a 4" coupler for the mas after I measured it to be 3.75"??? Aside from my actual empirical findings, my measurements (which I took by wrapping a piece of tape around the mas, making sure it was parallel to the edge of the mas, then cutting it and measuring it) prove that it can't be a 4" coupler unless an inch means something different where you live. I mean seriously, can you just admit that's its not a 4" coupler? :toobad:

And as for the turbo inlet, it is a 2.5" coupler with the rubber ring which should be included since they included it for a reason from the factory, probably because it takes heat abuse. This is what vanisledsm said as well.

Your pictures were inaccurate and didn't prove anything. Your ruler was not centered in the most important pic (the turbo inlet). Saying that "you can clearly see the huge gap" is not proof. That so called huge gap in your pictures only appeared that way because the coupler was tilting to one side. If you centered it and put the rubber ring in, it would take up the gap perfectly.

As for the mas... there is nothing you can say or do to convince me that it's a 4" coupler, because it isn't - plain and simple. I measured it and made a real application, and it's not 4", PERIOD. A 3.5" will fit, a 3.75" will probably be perfect, although I think the tight fit of the 3.5" would be preferable, but there is no way a 4" coupler will compress to seal on the mas. :beatentodeath:

If that's the case, then you need to amend your original "commandment" to include the ring spacer: "The second commandment, a 16g inlet needs a 2.5" coupler".

Some people don't have the original ring, and if they went by what you said originally, they'd be stuck with a 2.5" coupler that doesn't fit their compressor inlet.

For the record. I just bought a 4ply 3.75" coupler to attack to my 2g mas. That was the perfect size. It slipped right on with no hassle, and no big gaps like a 4" coupler. "It fit snug like a jimmy hat." LOL

I know this is a old thread but I just went through this and a 4 inch is to tight to seal. 3.75 is what you need.
