OEM Style Carbon Fiber Fenders

Just wrrecked my 2G. Does anyone know of an OEM style carbon fiber fender? I've been all over the net & just come up w/Z-3 style, et cetera. Just in it for the weight saving. Anyone know how much an OE steel fender weighs anyway???

I had once talked to the guy at squidskins, and he said you only save a total of around 5-7 lbs by going with carbonfiber front fenders. He did say that he makes doorskins-not just whole doors that shave off 15 pounds per door. He also makes a rear hatch for only 450 canadian, which is much cheaper than the vis ones sold at prostreetonline. I've searched all over and never have been able to find out what the stock rear hatch weighs with glass in it, but the carbon fiber one with speed glass should be around 30 lbs.

^^^^^^^^^^ those are oem steel wrapped in cf though, doesn't help for wieght savings much but probably look good

if you are into weight shaving I would skip the fenders and save for another piece. I currently have fiberglass fenders, and would love CF ones, but mainly for looks. If I was to invest in weight shaving components, then beyond the obvious CF hood, there are CF doors which save a TON. I wouldn't get a CF hatch unless you are getting a Plexiglas window with it.
