Ocean City Maryland Meet / East Coast Road Trip!!

I say we get a couple meeting places together for on the way down. Maybe one up in Mid-MD, like Frederick or something, and another somewhere in AA County before the bridge (we can scare the ish out of the ricers in the toll boths ). Anyway, Ive got WarMachine's phone number, and I will try to get this itinerary together this weekend. I still have yet to book a hotel, but I only have to do so for a night, since I will have a place to stay Sat. night. Please, everyone - check back tomorrow evening for updates. I hope to have the itinerary done by mid-day tomorrow.

Sorry guys, I really dropped the ball on this one. Between finals, work, and searching for cars, Ive been going NUTS Come to find out, I have overlapping vacations and will only be able to be down there Fri and Sat. I will try to get this itinerary hammered out in the next few days here.....

I know a few places to meet in salisbury that have lots of room for lots of cars, As of now we should get a count of the number of people going so a hotel can be booked the rates are low right now so if you book now you end up paying like 50 bucks for a 200 dollar room, also i am going to warn you about traffic, i think its a great idea to roll in together as a group but i think we should cruize in small groups, the police know we are coming, there was a vr4 meet last week and the police were ok with it they only wrote one ticket but 130 on costal h/w was a good excuse. as far as things do do i would like to get idea's together to make lax's life easier, Oc has lots of things to do from titty bars to mini golf, during the carshow itself admission is 10$ a believe thats all inclusive to the shows the main area and outside events. i will already be inside do due having to work Chaos performance tuning's booth but i am getting out of it because i am quitting the day of the show . screw them. if you can help it avoid racing they will lock you up on the spot, i know first hand i got locked up this saturday for racing a 67 chevelle. i invited 15 of dsm friends and three owner's of up and coming tuning shops ecip, and chaos, and rivalry motorsports, jesse from ecip has a r32gtr skyline, sal has the worlds fastest 6 speed supra . and me from rivalry is in the vr4 the 90 awd is down getting a fresh race motor, i havent even started building it yet so, its vr4 style. so just give some idea of stuff to do, i just like to cruize all night and get drunk and walk around and scream at people but, thats just me. so throw ideas out there

Im sooooo down, titty bars are the greatest! =) I am also from the OC/Salisbury area and can vouch that they do not tolerate obvious street racing...so people need to be careful.

Yeah that place would be perfect...huge lot. I was in Salisbury yesterday, 93 octane is $2.09/gallon (not bad at all!).

yeah i know its crazy its been staying way down last week it was under 2 bucks at WAWA, hey what r u doing this weekend sonic we should ride to OC see whats up, if the rain stops ne way. The bulk of you over the brigde should meet right after the bridge at the WAWA its like 1 minute off the bridge or so, but idk i still need ideas for things to do btw so lets get some ideas, One of my friends is in troubled waters its a tuscani/tiburon club i heard they are meeting at the bridge and cruizing down the same day idk what time, i know alot of them so dont screw with them....too much,if you see them.

Hey everyone! Just got off the phone with warmachine, and heres what we figured out. Obviously, this isnt set in stone, so we can make decisions on the fly down there. I suggest that we get together a phone list of some sort, and since I am heading this one up, if all of you could PM me your cell numbers (if your cool with that) and what location you plan on meeting the group, then I could make a nice little list up and send it back out to everyone who is coming to the meet. This way we can coordinate when to meet up at the different meeting places along the way, when and where to meet during the weekend, if you get lost, etc.

So here it goes....Remember, the times for meeting on the trip down are most likely going to change because of traffic, etc.....

Last announcements!!

If you are meeting up with the caravan on the way down, and have FRS radios, PLEASE BRING THEM!!! As many as possible, so at least every car can have one. It is going to be insane trying to caravan with so many damn cars.

Also - if you noticed, we are going to be chilling in Salisbury for a good half hour or so (if all goes well) so that people have a chance to catch up and stuff so we can all basically roll in together.

AND - Like i said, this isnt set in stone. If any of you have any better ideas, I am all for it. Feel free to make suggestions!

the civic center address is 500 glen ave Salisbury Md 21801, its right across the street so you can do a map search to pinpoint a course directly from your last meeting place, and mulligans from 50 is as follows, follow 50 eastbound for about 25.74 miles make a U turn at Keyser point RD, onto US-50 eastbount, drive for about 20 seconds make a right and your there. Also If you are interested i can have some vinyl stickers make so you can remember your experience i would need a design, or what you would want them to say, and a size so let me know if you are interested so i can talk to my graphic designer and get them cut. They should cost next to nothing or nothing. so let me know.

I am working all weekend long (work in DC) so Im can't come down and chill...argh work sux.

Yeah man that would be pretty cool to have vinyls made for the cars, I'd buy one. You could have it say like "East Coast DSM Road Trip '05" or something along those lines, whatever works.
That sucks you can't make it sonic, one less dsm to represent. I had to request off work that whole week for senior week, but my job is cool with stuff like that, I can get off anytime I want.

No i was asking sonic what he was doing this weekend, not weekend of the meet, and as for the vinyls i am getting them cut as we speak, East coast DSM road trip 05, that is what they will be, i am not making them huge prob 1.25 inches high by 8 inches long. i am getting 20 cut idk if that will be good as far as numbers go i might go 30. and if ne 1 needs vinyl cut for anything else let me know i can do anything no limits, and for a very fair price. let me know if ne 1 is interested.

Well fellas looks like i might not make it, the old vr4 threw a rod today i just got it back from the machine shop, but upon inspection on the oil pan i discovered a lot of metal shavings, so hopefully the shop will ok my warranty and i can get another rod and piston asap, never in my life have i seen such an ass job of knife edging a crank. and i can tell you right now one one part of my rotating assy was balanced. and my stock pistons were still in it, This is why i build my own motors, but like the idiot i am said oh its there getting machined let them build it its only 400 extra. big mistake, way off topic but this is a nightmare. new motor or sue they can take thier pick and i am going to be a complete dick when i go there.5800 bucks for an engine that lasted for 17.3 miles @ 7 psi shifted under 3500 rpms and no more than 40 % go pedal. on that crap.

I am putting a cyclone i have sitting in storage in it for the trip, they are re building the engine re buying all the parts for it and getting it sent out to be balanced and assembled at no charge. the story they gave me was that the kid who was working on it had a 1g tsi awd and he stole the pistons and crank to put in his car,and did the shitty at best, work on my car to get it out b 4 his manager could look over it, i dont know if i believe it but w/e as long as my engine gets built i dont give a crap what happened.
