Well I just found out today that one of my friends is having a graduation party on the 10th from 4-7 pm, so I am still deciding whether to stay on go to her party and just go down saturday, or cruise down with you guys. If I were to go to the party I will leave very early saturday morning, like 5am, and get there between 8 and 9 so I could meet up with everyone at happyjacks before the picture. I am still undecided but I'll let everyone know by next week. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I can definitely relate to your situation...instead of buying my girlfriend an engagement ring I bought a new turbo instead =) Needless to say shes not my girlfriend anymore

We tried to organize this last year.... and it we had like 5 cars show up...mine was down.... but the skyline was there it was a white R32 GTR and it was bad...there was tons of cars racing from light to light and i know i cant make it but everyone have fun without me this year... and im lookin into organizing a local thing on this end of the state maybe i can get some of you eastern md guys to come up to rocky gap or deep creek lake.

oh by the way i had a car loving high matinence gf and she left me...one big reason no ring and a ffwd motor....if she cant deal with you and your hobbies she isnt worth it so dont worry about it....

trust me man, that has already been TCO'd (taken care of)...the next woman will definitely be more "tuner-friendly"...hey, where do all the hot chicas that are into cars hide out at anyways ?? I never seem to see them - of course, I work alot, so that may be my problem.

I don't think that I will be able to make it now. My Talon's driver side motor mount decided to pop loose and shear all three bolts clean in half - I have never seen anything like this sh*t - ever. SO, there I was, sitting in the parking lot of Chi-Chi's GB, with my mentor Brian, and we are trying to disassemble the cam/belt cover and we are looking as far as we can into the assembly to see if there are any metal or plastic shavings or chunks in the pathways (the old 91 I bought had a similar problem: the previous owner thought he fixed a "minor timing belt problem, and boom - major slippage)

Anyways, back to my story. So there we were, chilin out in GB at Chi-Chi's, which looked kind of ghetto, especially since the windows were all boarded up, and although the cops drove past me like 15 damn times, nobody so much as offered to stop and ask what the problem was - so much for protect and serve. The only people that even took notice were these two jack@$$ vultures in a silver n/t 2G DSM who kept circling around the lot, waiting for me to leave and get parts so that they could do whatever to it.....yeah, I wasn't happy about that.

Moral of the story - Thank you to all who extended me help and offered to let me ride with you this weekend, but unless I pull a minor miracle from an orifice that will remain unnamed, I will probably not be making it this weekend....really sorry, cause I bet we would all have had a blast just chilling and drinking. Y 'all have fun without me, and if you see a black 96 TSi rolling around GB/Millersville, honk, cause that's me....I think I have seen a couple of y'all out and about

hewhoisknot -- Sorry there isnt anywhere meeting near Bel Air....Here are directions to the closest meeting place for you (Mike, correct me if I'm wrong...)

All you gotta do is take 95 South, through the tunnel, and then take 695 East towards Glen Burnie. Then take 97 South and get off at exit 12 (New Cut Rd. / Business Rt. 3 / Craine Hwy) and make a left at the end of the exit ramp. You will see Wal-Mart there on your left.

ALSO -- Update!! -- Ive opted to wait till Sat. night to drive down to OBX now, since my bud has a double header on Sat and his g/f has a dance thing on Sat and they both need rides down!! SOO, I will be staying in OC until about 4 or 5 pm on Sat!!

Wow i hope we get a good turnout, the old vr4 fought the cyclone install in every way she could but its in there, its so slow . i miss my 60 trim. So the ass wipes at the machine shop are compleatly rebuilding my engine AGAIN. and the little bi*** that stole my crank and pistons got his ass kicked by yours truly. so looks like i am going to make the run but not with my race motor. And and update on the vinyl they are done and waiting. i put some rice stickers on the vr4 thinking i would have the race motor so i could lure all the stupid rice boys in so i could make the quick kill buttttttt no. so i have big ugly gold vinyl on the side of my car thats half flat black and half anthrasite black . and i have one diff wheel . some 1 figured it would be funny to steal one of my rims while i was in the mall. it was kind of funny.Untill i went to satan and asked how much factory gvr4 rims where 975 a piece . they dont make them any more. Either way i hope this run turns out better than some of the other's i have been in. Oh and whoever said something about the silver r32 gtr. that would be one of my buddies from ecip tuning up in VA.she is wicked this year i wont go into details but he is in the area of 800 h/p. He will be drinking with us after the show. he has to man his booth sucks for him. there is another silver r32 gtr idk him but he looks like a nvm.

Of course I had to break the ONE piece that I can't find at any junkyard, to include Crazy Ray's or Brandywine (expensive bastards). So I had to ask Satan to order one for me, at a cost of $70 for one measly steel concoction weighing less than one pound

My friend Brian and I are going to wait until wednesday when the mount comes in to re-install it. While we're at it, I have a set of prothane bushings that will replace the f$*ked up stock ones. SO...even if I get it running, I won't have time to do any of the stuff that I had planned for the interior, and my poor baby is still sporting a two-tone black on primer paint job, so I am basically embarrassed to be seen in public right now. Oh well, sh*t happens. Is there a weekly hangout or a monthly gathering of any kind that I can get in on ? I gotta move fast, since I am headed back to Asscrackistan in October, and I want some time to hang out and just chill before I have to get the game face on again....

Hey, update on the Talon, for those who care: I may be able to make it afterall. Depends on how long it takes to burn out the old bushings. The shop where I work has all kinds of goodies and assorted tools and implements of destruction, but the car will still look hideous on the outside...kinda makes me wonder how much I'll get laughed at

Update on my satus.....got my car running on a POS stock radiator out of a junkyard and took her for a ride...but somethings messed up. Seems like / sounds like the BOV is opening WAY prematurely, and i cant figure it out. There arent any major boost leaks that would cause this to happen...On the other side, Im thinking it could be fuel cut or something bc this sucker has a GT35 on it w/ 750cc injectors, and the thing got broken into and the MAFT got stolen out of it, so it isnt tuned at all yet. I think im going to leave her in the driveway till my LM-1 wideband comes in the mail so i can tune it properly.

ANYWAY, back on topic....this means i dont know if im going to be able to make it now. Depends on when the LM-1 comes, so since we are getting down to crunch time, hopefully the LM-1 will come tomorrow and I can get this thing tuned tomorrow after work (and miss the Killers concert) so that I can get my fluidyne in on Thurs. and be ready to drive her down....just pisses me off since I got tags for her today and I still cant drive her

yeah i know that feeling my 90 awd has been tagged for 4 months and i have yet to even start it. the tags on the vr4 expire tomorrow but i am driving on them ne way. i have a wideband at the shop but it wont be of any use since the car would have to be limped down here and i dont think its worth the risk. oh and sunday i have something to add to the things we can do. US 13 dragway. 15 bucks to run. its an ok track it got resurfaced this year so hooking isnt a prob. but for the bulk of us its not a prob either way

The dragstrip idea sounds fun but I don't want to risk having to tow the car back to Hagerstown because of something breaking. Thats why I'm glad I have a track 10 minutes from where I live, its no big deal if something breaks there. But if you all do decide to go I'll still go and watch everyone run.

See page 2 of this forum for info on meeting places along the route all the way from Hagerstown to OC as well as meeting places while we are down there. I would love to see big representation of the DSM community down there. Even if you cant make it tomorrow because of work or whatnot, be sure to come on down!! UPDATE ON ME

I finally got my car running decently thanks to my LM-1 wideband coming yesterday. Turned out it was just a freakin fuel issue. I was running rich as ish... I still have yet to install my Fluidyne, as it is due to arrive today. IF all goes well tonight, I will get my radiator in, and get her tuned, and then worry about getting my radio and turbo timer installed. Needless to say, it will be a LOOOOOONG night I will update you all again before I head off to bed to let you know my final status....

this is what i came wp with as far as the sticker for the meet. i was going to use the eagle head but not everyone will not be in an eagle. so i decided to use the diamond star due to 100 percent of factory turbo talons and eclipse's having a mitsubishi powerplant. i hope you guys like it. the ones i had i did not like they were just a plain old sticker, so i ate the cost of them and decided to go with the one above, i am paying 10 bucks a piece but i will be selling them for 5 or less. also i will have a poster for sale for prob 7 or 8 bucks. my graphic designer are i going to sit down tomorrow and come up with a design for it. i will have one avail to look at with an order form in case ne 1 want's on when we meet up at the civic center in sby 2morrow. ANY IDEAS FOR THE POSTER ARE WELCOME THIS IS FOR YOU GUYS IS'S NOT WHAT I WANT ITS WHAT YOU WANT.

Hey guys, I just found out that my car won't be out of the body shop until tomorrow morning, plus I have to do some maintenance so it will make it down ok (change oil, replace leaking heater hose, etc.) but I won't be able to leave with you guys tomorrow. I will probably go down friday evening when everything is done or early saturday morning so I can make it down in time to meet up with everyone for the car show and the picture. I will either email adidalax on his email or call him to let him know when I get down and what your plans are. Hope to see you all down there saturday.

Okay.....so my car is a POS this is really pissing me off....Installed my BC last night and took her for a ride, and she hit decently high boost, so I pull off and take a look and im like man im a moron....i hooked it up wrong. SO i take the lines off the top of the ext. eastegate and plug up the boost / vac line going to the BC. Drive it back out and its almost doing what it was doing before.....AAGH!!

Needless to say, IM NOT COMING! IM sorry guys!!!! Noooooooooooooo!!!!!!
