2G OBX downpipe and Thermal R&D 3'' exhaust help please?:)

I want to start my car off with a nice exhaust but i want to make sure that this set up would be an easy, direct bolt on to my stock gst.

I dont really like those bent mufflers on a 2G, they always looked strange to me. I'd go with the SRS exhaust honestly, it's less than 1/2 the price. I know the Thermal is nice, but for being 17, you may want to take that extra money you saved and put it into maintenence items. The downpipe is OK as long as you arent trying to go for insane power, if you are that 2.5" flex can be a restriction. The one on my car is 3" all the way up until right where the flange bolts to the o2 housing, I'm not sure what kind it is though. Like I said, as long as you're not trying to make 1000hp the OBX downpipe would be just fine.

EDIT: argh now the OBX does the "angle out" thing. Why? I mean it's still fine, but I have no idea who wants that on a 2g.

one of my buddies told me to do a megan racing downpipe with the thermal what do you think about thatdownpipe? and i dont really mind the bent muffler, it kinda stands out and looks different ya know?

I wouldn't get the Megan, it has some stupid adapter that goes with it that doesnt always fit right for some reason. I had the OBX pipe on my Talon for the GSX and it didn't have that, just bolted straight up to the exhaust. If I were you i'd just go with the OBX downpipe.

Oh and also with that Thermal Exhaust, it's nice, but if someone could tell me how it's worth 400 dollars more than the SRS, I'd love to hear. Assuming you didn't like the muffler, you could still just buy whatever one you want, have it put on, and still come out cheaper than the Thermal. If you want me to go get you a video of the SRS, I can do that no problem.

Yeah, I can also show you what it looks like as well. Mine is three years old and still looks new.

I have a slight leak at the downpipe flange, it's because its the wrong flange. I have the 3" flange to fix it, just need time to get it done.
