sup guys. name is Jim. in the process of building a Land-Speed Racing dediicated bike and have a 2g SMIC that i will be using for the god-awful boost levels i'm probably going to use.
simply wondering ( HAVE SEARCHED!!!) what the max flowrate of the stock smic is..
figured i have a few mounting options and if i can cut the core down to save weight and space, i'd like to.. but i need to flow 269 CFM ( at a PR of 1.81 @ 12psi)
max flow ( at 20psi) i'd need to see is 351 CFM. i read up a lil on the aftermarket shit available and one of the sidemounts i saw flowed like 43 lbs.. which is 614 CFM.. WAY more than i need so .. if the stock flows even 400-500, then i can cut it down and mount it differently if i have to.
i have built a few turbo 4Gs in my day an was primarily a car mechanic til i got into bikes.. have an electrical engineering degree, and am a very experienced machinist and fabricator and TIG welder.. so, hopefully i can contribute a lil something when needed as a form of reciprocity to (hopefully) an answer to my dilemma.
thanks for your time!
heres a link to my bike build as it sits now, and in case you're scared to click the link, a few teaser shots...
