Ok so the last post about obd readers for eclipse is like 10 years old, and my question is:
Does that method still works?
Are there any better or similar methods/readers?
Are there differences between USA, Europe and Japan?
What/when did they start with obd/obd 2 (Mitsubishi and DSM perspective)?
I just found a guy that was selling some equipment that should work till 2019 models (all cars I belive) for around a grand, would that perhaps be worth it as I can use it for my daily too? I would like something that can read, delete and activate stuff with, even rewrite??

Link must be installed to make ECU parameter changes.
All vehicles manufactured in 96+ were equipped with OBD 2 ports which makes various vehicles compadible with the same scan tool. OBD 1 requires specific scan tools to open up diagnostic on the ECU.
