Ok,

First off, this is on a '90 fwd GST.

I had a ported 2g o2 sensor housing and put it on the GST. Well, the stock 1g wires wasn't long enough, and the 2g o2 sensor plug was different so I put the 1g plug on the 2g sensor wiring.

My question is, there was 2 black wires. I just put one black w/ one black, then the other set and soldered them together. *****Does it matter which one I put with which?***** I started the car, and it seems to run fine. I haven't drove it though. It has a little bit of a miss when you first touch the gas, but I thought that might be from where I put a 255 fp in it, and is still on the stock regulator.

Thanks for any help!!!

There are 4 wires in the O2 sensor. 2 black, 1 white and 1 grey.
The two black ones are for the heater core, the white is for positive and the grey for negative signal. Basically the 2 black wires are power for the sensor becuase it runs off of heat.

The heater wires are unnecessary, the car's exhuast will sufficiently heat up the sensor within 30 seconds of idling, especially on a turbo car where the post-turbine exhaust velocity is pretty slow and hot.

All brands have different colors of wires, for instance my Bosch was white on the two heater wires and not black.

Bosch does make OE replacements that are the same color coding as Mits OE.
