O2 sensor simulator wiring help

Hi, I am currently trying to eleminate my rear o2 cel by means of following the wiring diagram posted on vfaq and I was curious if anyone with any experience could help me out. I am stuck on the part where it says I need ~12 ohm, 12 watt minimum resistor to connect between the two heater elements of the o2 sensor. My local radio shack only carries resistors up to 1/2 watt. I know the blue is the o2 signal and the white is the ground so i figured maybe there was something else I could do with the blacks. My next step is to order a higher wattage resistor through the internet but I figured I might as well check to see if anyone else has any suggestions maybe I misunderstood something?

Should help you.

Instead of a ~12 ohm resistor, I used three 50ohm 10W resistors wired in parallel instead. They look like big blocks (See picture below).

Who knows why......although one can always search the classifieds that is were i bought my o2 simulator
