Hey guys-
About a week ago my Check Engine light came on, brought it to my mechanic, he read the diagnostics, and told me the o2 sensor is shot. He said its going to cost me about 200 fully installed(180 for the sensror, 20 for labor). Needless to say I cant really afford this. So, I will try to replace it my self. Slowboyracing has one from Mitsubishi for 125 that will probably do. Before I swap them out, I have a question. If you follow the o2 up from the exhaust, there is a connection of 2 wires in a connection. The wire leads into a spool of wire up to the throttle bodie I beleive. When I replace the o2 sensor, does this connection also get replaced? From the pic of it on slowboys, I would say yes. Also, is the 2nd wire running back up to the TB just click into the connection? Is that all that is needed?
Im sorry if I didnt use the right wording, but I appraciate all of those who help.
Thanks,
-Justin
