Hey fellow DSM drivers. I am looking for a vacuum line hose kit that will replace all my vacuum hoses. Does anyone know where i can get a kit that has all the hoses? I also need to replace my downpipe O2 Sensor (i am going to replace the catback one to) I know where to get them but i do not know how to install them though. Has anyone replaced the O2 Sensors on the 2g Talon Esi? If so can you help me out or is it best to go pick up the Haynes book at auto zone?

Thank-you
Your Fellow DSM Driver Tony

Nope. Never. ;)

You just need the right socket for R/I of the O2. What makes you think you need to replace the rear? It's not doing anything other than making sure the front one works.

RRE (Road Race Engineering) has the "Larson Hose Kit." Top quality silicone hoses in all the sizes you need and a number of power-adding colors. Runs about $25 and ships fast as hell. I'd link you, but I think you are old enough to know how to use Google. :thumb:

Come on People i need help .... my car is constintly reved at 2500rpms i need that fixed asap
Dude. Here's the thing. If you can't afford to wait, then you need to get out there and search. Sitting in front of the computer waiting for a reply isn't getting you any closer to fixing the problem.

Sounds like you know you have a vac leak somewhere. Trace the leak (use a cigarette or something and watch the smoke around your hoses), and go to Autozone, Napa, Checker, etc. and buy a foot of plain, black replacement vac line. It will cost you about $2.

Have you checked the lines yet? The hard, plastic line across the back in particular?

yeah well its an old car and thje onwer before me didnt reallt keep up with it ... most the rubber hoses have little cracks in them .... im going to replace them all with blue hose kit ... yeah RRM is the company i went though with my lancer untill i wreaked it haha ... well the front O2 sensor is bad ... i had that checked ... im just going to replace the back with a new one to ... but thanx it got me somewhere ill give you some reps .. later

you can also put some water in a spray botttle, or use carb or brake cleaner (be very careful with it though, flamable.) and light spray a hose where you think the vac leak is coing from, when you hear the car kind of stall out for a sec or change its not on account of where you sprayed its an indication that their is a whole where you just sprayed.

Driggs is right about gettin some plain black hose, It will cost you a lot less.

For the 02 sensors, just get under your car w/ a 22mm socket, and don't forget you'll probably want to twists the wires as you turn the wrench to get the socket out.

yeah i just ordered the vacuum hose kit from RRE and im going to get the O2 sensors from auto zone when i get out of work ..... well thanx guys yeah that hose kit was 21 bucks
thanx again
