o2 housings/dumps

Ok so I bought an aftermarket o2 housing souly for better exhaust flow, I don't want to go external wastegate yet, but after looking at the aftermarket housing, it looks like I have to? Any explinations?

The one I got was $100 more than the one I paid for? If I have to go external with and aftermarket dump, ill probably send it back anyways, but if not should I send it back since they sent me a more expensive one? What should I do?

I would send it back. Sure, they sent you a more expensive part than you ordered, but it will also require you to purchase an external gate (if they didn't send one). And you'll have to modify your turbo to work with that O2 housing.

as far as needing an external wastgate some where down the road you probably will end up getting one so hold on to it unless you knkw now that you wont want one. I also sent you a pm.

As mentioned above, if you ever plan on going external you might as well hang on to it (if you want to mount it there). If not, send it back. Just depends on the setup you want in the future.

You'd have to double check that the flapper has enough clearence, but you could just make a pipe with vband connections to clamp in place of where the wasetgate should be. then you could use this o2 housing with an internal wastegate and drop in an external in the future if you go that route.

That's probably what ill do.. does any one know if the $330 o2 housing on map come with the wastegate? If not, ill keep this till I want to go external.. just wanted every exhaust peice to be better flowing for right now..

the wastegate is a $300 option that you can choose from the drop downs at the time of purchase.
