hi i just did the 6 bolt swap. i have AEM ems but for start up i switched back to stock ECU and stock injectors. Now the question is, do i have to have my o2 sensor in my o2 housing to start it up? Right now i made a custom housing from turbo to downpipe and there is no bungs welded into it for o2 or anything. Will it matter? do i need to put one in there for it to start up properly? As soon as i get it running and put like 500 miles or so on it i am switching the harness back to the ems. and i don't think the ems requires me to have any o2 sensors in there which is why i am asking this question. Will it run fine when i start it up with out any o2 sensor? I know a check engine light will prob come on and i won't be reving it up past like 4500 for the initial break in. sooooo can anyone help me out here.....? :dsm: sorry this sounds like such a dumb question but hey thats what this forum is for. ROFL Thanks

yeah im just looking to get it started up to make sure everythign turns over. than when it does that i can put a base map into the ems and put the 680 injectors in and run it like that for the break in till it is fully tuned.

yup, but it will start
yep, but without the O2 sensor it's going to dump a lot of extra fuel and you might not really want that for break in. Why not put a bung in, you can always use it for a wideband or plug it later.

yeah i should of put the bung in but at the time i had it out of the car the bung that someone sold me was made of stainless steal and my housing was mild steel.
Do you think it would be possible for me just to start it up with the EMS and just have someone program a base map into it before start up?
IS that what people normally do when they go to stand alone?
if so, should i start it up with the 680's or the stock 450's when using the EMS for initial start up....?
