Somewhere in BC,
Hey guys I hope this makes sense but I have an issue with my o2 housing for my 2g eclipse I'm trying to install my evo I 16g turbo and wanna use the o2 housing that came with that turbo I notice the o2 sensor is in a different location then the 2g version but my question is how do I bolt the o2 housing to the down pipe I see on the o2 house on the 2.5 exhaust end there are 2 threaded holes and my down pipe has 2 house with no threads am I sapossed to use studs or bolts for the 2.5 o2 housing end to work on my 2g??

I can't help 100% but-

02 gasket only goes one way
Downpipe gasket doesn't matter orientation
Not sure on the evo 7cm gasket, I would guess the Japanese writing faces up -I just ordered myself one actually so hopefully someone will drop an answer by or you can let me know what you did

Sorry I really don't have experience with the copper spray stuff, hopefully someone will chime in on that

More food for thought -I'm trying out some copper RTV to coat all the gaskets I'm reusing which is the turbo to o2, o2 to adapter and adapter to downpipe. I've read around here it's some great stuff. Apparently easy to remove too

Really see thats what Justin from dsmtunners told me to use was the copper spray and the gaskets and rtv on the j pipe gasket, and I was told by JNZ Tuning that the turbo gasket should be flat side (Chinese writing) face down to the turbo and raised bump to the exhaust manifold I just wanted a second oppinion ?

Now I just got back from the mechanic I got my engine put in by and he says he would put the turbo gasket with the bump ring side down on the turbo housing and flat side with the Chinese writing towards the exhaust I guess everyone have their own preference in how to install this and he also said it won't hurt spray the metal gaskets and paper gaskets with copper spray he said it would make it stronger to seal then what's already there,

Rix.

Dont forget to port match... At least on the evo3 housing there is a "step" for the sealing ring to sit on. To me it sounds like you're not using one. So if you wanted to, lay the gasket down and match its opening in size by cutting with porting bits etc. same with manifold. Do a search to find more info

*how long did it take you to get your stuff from JNZ?

Thanks for the reply By port match do you mean just line up to holes because that gasket for the o2 is complety flat on both sides what I did was sprayed 2 coats of copper spray on the o2 housing gasket 30 seconds apart and then I lined up the gasket to the turbo side of the housing and made sure the holes matched the gasket and bolt hole I then put the o2 housing on the other end and bolted it up with my impact some other the gasket spray came off the side from the pressure of the two bolting together so I think I got a good seal with it but yeah I'm all the way in Canada and JNZ Tuning is way cheeper then any Mitsubishi dealer here and that including shipping too they are a great company to deal with and Paul is very knowledgeable :)

Thanks for the link the numbers on my compressor are 78-10700 and then I see a 070

I can't find anything on that turbo?

Here is a pic of the Evo3 turbo. The numbers you listed, are they in the same order fashion as
49178-01470 in this picture?
