what exactly does this mod do for you performance wise other then getting an exhaust with an o2 sensor housing with it?

um. thats pretty much it. what did you expect it to do. it flows very well and is all one peice. Its a PAIN in the ass to work with though. I had a friend cut my RnR o2 eliminator and flange it off for me to be a seperate o2 housing and dp.

I wouldn't call it mod in itself. Just a different style of exhaust. Does basically what you explained and that's it.

its basically just a way to elminate working with a turbo-back exhaust while using a stock o2 housing, because getting a full 3 inch turbo-back and bolting it onto a stock o2 housing will just be a waste of money, time, and it will creep. So typically people get turbo-back exhausts and just port their o2 housings, or get an upgraded o2 housing.

Buying an o2 elminator exhaust is just a way to COMPLETELY redo ur exhaust from the ACTUAL TURBO, because turbo-back exhausts arent really turbo back exhausts if u think about it LOL.

Saves u the trouble to go out and find a ported upgraded o2 housing, u can save that whole step and just pay a little xtra for a completely compatible part to bolt to ur exhaust housing on ur turbo.

Its also a thing with compatibility, if u get a 3" turbo-back if its a TRUE 3" then it will not bolt up to ur stock o2 housing, so some people get it 2.5" at the neck of the o2 housing, and have it open to 3" after the o2. With o2 elim. u can have a true 3"

Amen, dropping my downpipe is a bi***. I was thinking about doing exactly this so that it'd be a lot easier to work with.

o2 eliminator downpipes are basically just an o2 housing and downpipe "all-in-one" unit. Flow well but are a bi*** to taken on/off. I've dropped mine off at least 3 times now, and I've gotten it down to a science, but damn....if it were only flanged......

My elim. came in 2 parts (o2 housing, dp).

I am in the process of buying a 3" V-band set to replace the 3 bolt flange to have a "quick release" solution to a problem that takes me an additional 30min to do when changing the OIL. :thumbdown
