well, looks like my dsm is going to be up and running by the time the meet comes around, as long as everything stays like it is now... Anyway, wanted to know if there are any others fairly close to me that i could tag along with. I see there are a few guys in front royal that are going right? my gf lives in stephens city, so not that far from front royal. id be willing to drive a little out of the way in order to follow some dsm guys down. let me know if there is a final decision about a rally point.

Whats up again guys from Front royal area... just to let you know that my motor died this weekend, (real bad piston rod knock) I'll start the rebuild, but It'll definetally won't make it to the meet, so Im sorry for not meeting you guys at the gas station like we talked about, I'll probably still go to the GMU meet, but I'll stop by there late since I might have to work now... anyway... I'll talk to you guys later.

I see a red 2G, auto I believe, with wheels and exhaust cruising around town every now and then. Anybody on here?

Hey Nuke, did you get your car running yet? I'm still in the process of tearing mine apart. I've got to remove my whole set-up due to the AC and the power steering hardlines rubbing the FMIC. I also have to repair my oil return due to leakage, should I use teflon tape on my fittings to eliminate leakage? :dsm: :thumb:

My car won't be running for quite some time, like six months to a year.

Is your oil return line stock or something else?

It was on the car when I bought it. Its an aftermarket stainless steel line with rubber core attached with AN fittings. I asked a guy at slowboys and he said not to but he did not elaborate. He said not to get any tape on the AN threads, any ideas why? :dsm: :thumb:

They are compression fittings. If you put tape on them you may not be able to tighten them down enough. It shouldn't be necessary anyway; something else is probably leaking.

Alright, thanks man. Sorry for the late reply, but i'm on-call this week and i'm currently sitting in Centreville. I got in bed at 10 pm and got called out at midnight.....Uncle Sam is gonna "love me long time" this week.

This whole week has been screwed up with me being on-call. I left home today at 3pm and i'm just now getting home. I stopped by GMU at about 5:30 this evening but no one was around, then I remembered that you guys might go to the Burger King on rt 28 in Manassass so I got there around 6:15 and the lot was empty....... Oh well, there's always next year I suppose.

I read either in this thread or the GMU thread that the FR guys were meeting at the Exxon at 11am. I didn't see that until the last minute , and I figured it was a bit early anyway. I rolled through there at 11:30 to get gas and didn't see anyone, so if you guys were at the meet sorry I missed you.

Since I didn't had my Eclipse I just went to work that day and head to the meet from there, I got there at around 1:45pm, there was a bunch of cars, here's a bunch of pictures that I took...

Hope you guys like them since many didn't make it to the meet.
