WHAT IS MOD?
This is addressed to all Northwest residents that are interested in traveling with NWDC(Northwest DSM Crew) to the MOD(Mitsubishi Owners Day) event in California on April 23.
**Please note, each member of the group will be equipped with a walkie talkie. This will allow us to make additional stops if needed**
START IN TACOMA, WA AT 5PM ON FRIDAY APRIL 22ND
1ST STOP: PORTLAND, OR (7:30pm)
Off of exit 296A from I-5 will be a Chevron, this is in Portland, OR. Will be getting there around 7:30pm, it's a 2 hour drive from Tacoma, but since we'll catch the last part of the traffic, it might take a little more time.
We will be in Portland at the Chevron for approx... 20 minutes, then continuing south. The address for the Chevron is 9025 SW Barbur Blvd.. From I-5 Southbound, you'll take that exit, the follow the off ramp and turn left at the light at the end of that ramp, from there it'll be down the road like 1/2 a mile.
2ND STOP: WEED, CA (12:30am)
This will be kind of a hike from Portland, it's 5 hours.. But we will stop for restroom breaks! I figured, every 2 hours or when someone says they need a break we could stop for a quick rest... We will also be stopping for gas here.
3RD STOP: SACRAMENTO, CA (4:00am)
Keep in mind the speed limit is 70 through here, so any time posted on "Mapquest" or similar will be a little different. This is 3 1/2 hours from Weed.
This will also be a 30 minute gas/rest stop, people can fill up, stretch their legs and grap a quick bite to eat.
4TH STOP: BAKERSFIELD, CA (8:30am)
Another gas fill up, this is about 4 1/2 hours from Sacramento (293 miles)...
Stops after this will be based on where people are staying
5TH STOP: (WHERE NWDC WILL BE STAYING) LONG BEACH, CA (10am)
I've reserved a motel in Long Beach, which is about 20 minutes from the MOD event, it's cheap, near the beach, and close to where all the parties will be.
For those of you that have other arrangements and just want to go straight to the event, you can continue along the free way from Bakersfield it's 2 hours from there... I know most of you have the address and know how to get there, but I thought I would throw that in.
Please not that we are aware that we will be missing the 8:00 cruise, some of us were unable to get the 22nd off.
THATS IT! If you have any questions, please feel free to email one of us, or if you wanna join up on the drive down there from another area... Just let one of us know and we'll add your point along the way!!
TAKE CARE, CANT WAIT TO SEE ALL OF YA!
Much thanks and appreciation goes out to Jenna for organizing this cruise.
