nothing is working

ok here is how it all started. i was drive about 3 days ago when i noticed my brake/battrey/water pump lights on so i did a search. found out it was the alt. got it tested was bad got a new one on worked great. drove around for the next 2 days no problem car was running great. so i go for a 30 min drive to the mall doing about 85 the hole way there. i get off the high way wait at a light for like 5 mins and my car just starts losing power not so bad at first but after. but after like 10 mins my car as slow as a honda :shhh:. well im siting at a light and then it stalls so i start it back up it starts so i go to make a turn and it stalls out and all power is lost. so i roll into a parking lot and park it. i go back the next day to take a look at it. and here is what i find my batery voltage is 14.5 all wires are hooked up to battery. so i look at under hood fuses they are all go so i move to the inside i got no power on any thing nothing. so i pulg in 1 of those cargers that run from the cig liter and my in side lights all go on windos work and seat belts work. some im like what the #### i let it sit the 15 mins and go to start it. mothing but iu hear a clicking it is coming from a gold box infront of the ecu about 1.5inchX1.5X1.5. thats all i know i ahve no clue i got no power any were. o and it help the cheach engieng lights and abs lighjts turn of when i let the key in. with the caharger hooked up.

first, break down the positive batt. terminal and take some emery cloth and clean each individual section of the terminals that go on the positive batt. post since corrosion will build up in between the sections and is not always visible without disecting it......second if that does'nt fix it, replace the relay assembly that you are referring to in front of the ecu, it supplies power to almost everything that is switched with the ignition...... :dsm:

#1 when the key is in the ignition and in the on position do you have power in the car.

#2 when the car starts and is running do you have power in the car.

check these with the hood up.

It is smart to check the small things first. check to make sure the battery terminals are clean. Check to make sure the ground to the frame off the battery isn't broken. Check to make sure the positive battery terminal isn't shorting to the hood. Check the fusable link.

If the answer is yes to #2 and #1 it is likely the fusable link. If yes to just #2 probably the fusable link or battery terminals.

Why is your battery reading 14.7 volts. you shouldn't get that much off it even sitting still. now with the car running is a different story.
 
all the stuff is good i read the voltage right from the batery then i put he negater to a bolt on the fire wall and + to the battery still gto power, so i tryed - to the batterty + to the coper termails the go to the wingnut they all got power. so today im going to pull all fuses and see if power is make it to them.
 
well i went down today and im so lost it is crazy the shit it is doing. i took my volt metter to see if fuses were getting power some were some wernt. so i put the alt fuse in and i hear a pop so i pull it out. and i hook up the + end of the volt metter to the + on the battery. i take the negative and place it on the out going side of the alt fuse and i get a readof 6 volts wtf. that is not right is it so i place the - side on the altor screw were the doule wire hook up and i get 12.5 volt. so i take off the bolt and test the bolt with no wire and get 0 then i test the wire 12.5. i go back to the other end now it is at 0. so know im like the must be a short betwwen thje 2 so i hook it all uo with the alt fuse out i get power in the car i got to turn it ovwe i hear 5 loud clicks coming from the gols box no tunr over and the ground to the tranny starts to smoke and all power goes off. so niw i tihnk my holes eltical system is fried. and all i ahve to say is this suxs and i wish i could just find out whats wrong. if u have any clue of whats wrong or what all im going to have to get to fix or should i just start over with the hole eltical system.
 
First of all 12 volts right on the battery with no loads (nothing drawing any significant power) means nothing - even a dead battery will say that. You by now have a discharged battery which is not going to start the car without charging it (externally and better remove the positive cable while doing it). But it sounds like you've got a full/partial short somewhere - possibly around the alternator harness.
