my 90 talon tsi isn't starting again. the first time it happened was on xmas eve. after driving for awhile it started by itself again. about 10 mins ago i pulled to a 7/11 to go rent dvd's from redbox. i hop back in and turn on the ignition and it wouldn't start. i can hear the starter spinning. its 10 already and i dont want to look into it tonight. could it be that my starter is loose? i can hear it spinning when i turn the ignition key to on.
any ideas, I'm going to take off the starter tomorrow morning, but i don't know how to do that. i'll have to research this tonight. any help would be appreciated thanks.

okay i just climb under my car. it looks like my starter is pretty new. it looks really clean. all the contact point for the positive is clean. i wiggled the starter and it was stiff as a rock. now the car starts. where is this solenoid located. because all i see is a red wire from the starter to the positive on the battery. a black with yellow wire right next to the red wire. and a black wire there seem all in excellent condition.
i looked up my service manual Chilton edition and i don't see any solenoid
