my boost gauge is tapped into my FPS line. why is it on hot starts my gauge doesn't work till about 2-3 minutes later but on a cold start it reads vacuum and boost just fine.

It's because you tapped in after the factory fuel pressure solenoid.

Is it on the one going from the intake manifold to the solenoid or the solenoid to FPR?

If it's after the solenoid then it won't work until it opens.

It's supposed to be the one coming off the manifold to the FPR.

you have it hooked up wrong. do a search and you'll find pictures of where it should go.

Go off the line from the manifold to the fpr. I have a t in the middle of that and run my boost gauge and line to my blow off valve from there. I never have any problems.

The fps opens on hot start to raise fuel rail pressure so you dont get a lean condition on startup. When the fps opens, the vac line sees 0inhg effectivly raising the fpr to base fuel pressure. Im running speed density and dont have the fps installed on my car. Hot starts are lean until the car runs for about 3 min. On hot start, I can unplug the vac line to the fpr and my afr's drop immediately.

That's why your boost gauge is acting the way it is.
