Not Good Please Help

Ok so now that i have waited 5 weeks for a manifold i get it on and run it for a bit, runs ok, go over to my place this morning it wont start, when it did it ran for a second then died and threw codes, #### it im going to school i say went to school come home and give it a go starts up and runs, now the problem begins, smoke coming from manifold, ok i think to myself burning the excess oil off from putting it on, white smoke coming from tail pipe, not good, more smoke pouring from manifold ok now its really not good something is wrong. shut her down and investigate, my turbo has drops of fluid on it ok smoking there, where the trubo meets the manifold has oil leaking out of the edges, and last but not least there is oil in the intercooler piping going to the intake!!!! yes more problems! its ok im trying to stay positive about this but hard to, from my theory heres where i stand; oil is going into exhaust, what is there that will allow that; valve stem seals, possible head gasket, any ideas. I really dont wanna remove the head but looks to be im gunna have to, before anything im gunna talk on here. help me out everyone

Basically you installed a new turbo manifold and its smoking etc etc?

Did you use new gaskets and new crush washers on the coolant and oil return lines if you unhooked them?

Take a pic of the manifold. If its got a coating it could be smoking due to paint etc baking off. Did you somehow get the coolant and oil feed lines switched? If you only changed the manifold and nothing else then rule out valve stem seals etc. and start looking towards the parts involved in the replacement of parts :thumb:
 
its a brand new mitsu 20g fom ebay as a xmas gift from family, but the manifold is ok but there was

fluidsneeking out of where the turbo meets manifold there and also when i just replced the mnifold

when i removed the old one i had oil coming out of the #1 cylinder exhuast port and into the manifold.

the turbo has like 5 miles on it seriouosly it has just been on and drive down the hwy and back.
 
I read a similar situation w an ebay turbo the guy blew a few. Some people threw input as to route the oil feed line from the head. instead of the oil filter adapter. Something about the pressure blowing out the seals on the new turbo. :confused:


If there is oil in the Intake piping then its not coming from within the head. It has to be leaking for the turbo itself. There isnt any way to my knowledge for oil to get into the charge piping from the exhaust.

i have stock piping, i removed the pipe right past the bov and looked inside has like a teaspoon of oil

sitting in the pipe and other a little bit spryed thru out. but i was thinking the oil is leaking from seals

into manifold, going back to tail pipe, and also threw trubo, the turbo fligning it up into the piping and

intake area.
 
Ok So I Took My Intercooler And Piping And Cleaned All The Oil Out Of The Core And

Pipes Removed The Manifold And Checkec Shaft Play, Good, Same Tiny Bit As The Turbo

Went In, No Sign Of Oil Leak In Turbo, But I See Hat The Oil Leaked In The Exhaust

Manifold To The Turbo Gasket Where The Turbo And Manifold Meet, Walked Aound The

Gasket And Leaked Down The Side Of The Turbine Houseing Causing My Smoking. Also

Performed A Compression Test Wet And Dry

Dry- #1-150 #2-100 #3-80 #4-130

Wet- #1-160 #2-150 #3-160 #4- 150
