not catching boost until 5k revs

hi all im having a huge issue my car is set to 9 pounds but i don't catch boost until 5k revs and that's way off. i have tried just about everything and still no solution i have tried waste gate spark plugs wires coil pack boost leak turbo base timing. i mean i just done understand. please some one help me:(
 
It could be possible a collapsed flex section in the exhaust. I would check that and the turbine housing as well as the turbine wheel.
 
Try to recheck for boost leaks by the back of the throttle body or intake manifold maybe?
I had one on the back of my throttle body that drove me crazy for days.

Sounds like a exhaust leak pre turbo to me. Any soot around the exhaust and turbo gaskets?
 
I checked your profile, you're still using the stock exhaust right?
If the turbine and flex sections check out okay, unbolt the cat from the downpipe (temporarily), secure it up off the ground with wire and see if you can build any positive boost before 5k then.

about my account that's my old car i have full ape-xi 3 in exhaust now and the flex pipe is fine im gonna say that it has to do with the hot side of the turbo that's my last option.
 
So you pulled the exhaust and inspected the inside of the flex section or are you just assuming that it is good?
 
I'm having the same problem. I have a small boost leak at the throttle body seals (on order), full 3" exhaust(no cats), upgraded exhaust manifold, intake, and I/C piping, stock turbo.

No oil in I/C piping and blades look fine on both hot and cold side of turbo with no shaft play.

Are you guys using a turbo with a TD05H hot side?
As bryan mentioned earlier, check the turbine wheel and the exhaust housing. You may have cracked wastegate passages, broken flappers or less likely, possibly damaged turbine wheels. The 14b housings are most notorious for the cracking, their housings are the most brittle and are most often well-used. The Evo 3 turbine housing is the only one not known to crack often, due to it's higher nickel casting.

thanks to bryanwheat it was the flex part of the exhuast
