NOS Octane Booster

I work at Boater's World here in Connecticut and today we got a shipment in. In that shipment there was a new product. It was NOS brand (Yes, like the nitrous) octane booster. It says it can boost your octane up to 7 points. I was jsut wondering if this was worth while or not to buy.

It also said it will clean your injectors and your combustion chamber.

I bought 2 of them for 11 bucks a peice. 1 for my car, and 1 for my brother's low 12 second Mustang.

I'm gonna fill up tomorrow and dump this can in and see what it does. I was jsut wondering if anyone knew anything about this

i know your not suppose to say "i heard", but i read in another thread that its not a actualy 7 octane point boost, but its a .7 octane points. i dunno how true that is

I put an octane booster in my car once and yeah it had more powerbut it also burnt fuel like a mofo.me MIL light came on and then they turned off in a couple days.I didn't get the code but I imagine it was just the o2 sensors going nuts.

octane booster shouldnt give you more power, octane doesnt give power, it prevents detonation. that stuff just "helps" you run higher boost or a larger shot of nitrous

we put some stp octan booster in are boat cuz it had 87 octane in it and it would back fire like a mother and not on higher octane and it stopped it from back fireing was a half tank but thats like 13-4 gallons
