Nos intercooler spray kit, OK to use C02

Just bought a Intercooler spray kit(ColdFusion), the kit is for use with NOS, just curious can i fill the bottle and use c02 instead of nitrous? the bottle is un-used, my brother as the Dei Cry02 spray kit. I know with the Cry02 kit nitrous cant be used, somthing to do with the valve????

Why buy a N2O kit if you're not going to use N2O? The price?

If it isn't too late to return the kit, there are ways of simply making CO2 intercooler sprayers.

Thanks for the reply, The kit was bought s/h but not used, c02 would be cheaper and easy to get, any reasons if any, why it couldnt be used instead of N20?

I don't know for sure that it can't be used for CO2; I just figure, why buy something for one use, then use it for something totally different?

CO2 and N2O are stored usually stored differently (at different pressures), meaning the equipment for one usually cannot be used for the other.

Have you tried contacting the company that makes the kit?
What brand kit is it?

One thing to keep in mind is that CO2 is a cumbustion inhibitor. If it gets into the intake it will feel like fuel cut I would imagine, but I guess it depends on how much gets in.

You can use CO2 in the Nter-cooler system, but unless you ordered the system for CO2 you will have to change the bottle valve. If you didn't specify that you wanted the system for CO2 then the bottle valve you have won't work when you go to get the bottle filled with CO2. Basically, you will be stuck using only one or the other

I did the same thing.. Take your bottle to the place that fills it and they will change the bottle up for you! They will stamp it for use with Co2 or something like that.. Note: "NOS" can not be used after this is done! Untill it is changed back over! They will give you the "stock" parts back..

They will run a yearly inspection on the bottle making sure it's good to go..
