non working antenna

something's wrong with my car antenna. after i turn off the car its suppose to go down but all i hear i a whining sound. i can push it down by hand but it doesn't go down all the way. could it be the liittle motor thing is blown?

Yea the little plastic gears inside are pry busted or stripped, I would vote for goin and getttin a universal short rubber antenna and puttin that on so you can do away with the motor, do a search for s2000 antenna a few threads should come up to help ya out if you wanna go that route.
