I dont really like having a 3 foot tall antenna and im trying to get rid of it, I have a deck with an AUX port so i dont really need it, anybody who has it completely removed? I'd like to see some pics

I removed mine. However, I did not feel like going through the hassle of getting it welded shut and painted. I opted for a black plug. The only honda part on my car

Don't see the need to see a pic, if it's gone, the back now looks symmetric (minus the wiper). Personally I like the look of the long antenna, makes it look like an RC toy

Yup, I kept the long stock one, although I'm not against the small black antenna refit; that one looks good too.

i seen those too. im thinking about ordering one but i wonder if they even work as good or even good at all. but i took my antenna off my gs and looked so much better.

Yup, I kept the long stock one, although I'm not against the small black antenna refit; that one looks good too.

I like that antenna. I'm going to look into that - just use it for a plug.

I have a flat plug in mine. I'm going to do a 'how to' thread later. Don't go rushing out to buy Honda parts yet - those look like ass boils.

I bought the Honda plug too, it's an antenna plug from a n IntegraType R and it fits perfect!

Why not eliminate it then? remove it, weld the hole shut, and have it filled/painted.

I have no problems with mine at all. Sister has hers on her talon and has no issues as well. Have a friend with a stang same result, no problems with reception.

I bought my shorty black antenna at autozone. Works like a charm and isn't ever in the way. It works well with my panda theme too ;-) I will post a picture of it later.

I put a Flaming River battery master cutoff switch where my antenna used to go. Not sure of the drag race sanctioning body legality, but if you don't need FM or AM why not? It's something to plug the hole.

I'll post up a pic of mine after work. I had a body shop fill it in and paint it over so it looks like it was never there.

#1 This is a complete antenna delete, along with wing delete, bumper line fill, etc...

#2 A more profile pic... the only thing that will protrude from the surface of this car will be the mirrors.

Not sure how much this helps, considering it's still under construction and in pieces... but that is what the panel looks like with it completely removed and filled.

Isn't it going to be a pain when someone rear ends you and you go to remove that bumper?

Not much more difficult than properly installing a new bumper. It's just a fiberglass fill that can be sanded down if that happened. Besides, if it got hit, it isn't going to a body shop. I do all of my own work.
