I went to put in my non cruise throttle cable after removing the cruise (obviously)...and this thing is huge! Am I supposed to just shove this behind the intake mani, or is there some special route it needs to take...It just seems so unnecessarily long.

sorry, i didn't see this post before i posted basically the same question above it, i was wondering the same, where does all the excess cable go?

Thats weird, the non cruise cable I used is about a foot long and fits great. Are you sure you got the right cable?

The non-cruise cable is the throttle cable from a 2.4 n/t spyder for a 2G. I used this same cable. It is long, you must have the right cable. It loops around, there is 2 clips that are held in by the fuel rail nuts that secure it. Let me know if you understand and if not I will go snap a pic of mine.

I dont know what calbe you have absoulute... I would like to see a pic of that and the part number. Is it a mitsu part?

Yeah its mitsu...got it from slowboy so its gotta be right.

I understand what clips you are talking about....i actually forgot those were even there...Ill try that out. Im gonna be working on it all night, so If you do have time to take a pic, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Here is a pic... I put arrows to highlight where the cable is and where it comes out of the firewall.

Yup, mine is installed the same way. I thought it would go directly to the throttle plate, but it loops around.
