Noise when i turn off the car?

Hey Guys.. I have a question. I just recently got a 99 GS 5 spd and i just realized that when i turn the car off, there is like a 3 second shaking/shuddering noise that comes to a stop somehwat abruptly. Sounds like its coming from the front of the car. Can anyone please help?

Same thing for me in my 99 gs 5 speed But not nearly as long as three seconds..

^^ actually you are right, it is more like a second or so..but i still don't know what the cause of it is? Any ideas ?

Sounds like a leaking injector(s) to me....

any idea of if it can be fixed by myself? Or if i took it to a garage, any idea of how much it would cost?

Are they stock injectors? If you plan on upgrading your injectors nows the time to do it (if they are indeed leacking).. From what i've read, most injector installation is easy

the car is completely stock and i dont really plan on modding it much. However, is there anything else it could be? Because it sounds more of a metallic kinda noise as if something could be loose? I really don't know, i just do not know much about these things because i am pretty much new to the dsm world. Any help would be appreciated, thanks

Well, you could go to your local mitsubishi dealer and buy stock injectors (maybe get a club DSM discount?) and then install them yourself. Im also new to the DSM scene, but when a car diesels (runs after turn off), it is most likely the injector(s) leaking.... maybe some1 with more knowledge could point out something else? goodluck bro...

Is something liek this a normal maintainence cost ? I just wanted to buy a reliable car and not worry about things breaking down. Is this the beginning of a bad sequence of things to happen to my engine? The car only has 47k on the clock and the interior and exterior are almost flawless, and the carfax was clean as well.
Please guys, any more help?

dude, relax this isnt a really a big problem.... sounds like something is leaking, maybe the injectors, could also be vacuum leaks, according to my manual... hey i checked for ya

ps.. dont pay anyone to change youre fuel injectors, buy the book, and youre laughing

i know that on other cars i have owned that when it deiseled down the timing was off. maybe this might be it?

Sorry to jack the thread but I'm in the same boat I suppose. Would this be a good time to upgrade the injectors? Mine is also a daily driver and I'm not planning on getting too much power out of it.
