As the title says I have a noise when I drive my 99 GSX, it sounds like gear whine on accel and a slight whine or grind in decel, no specific gear and it does in constantly. It’s not super loud or anything and doesn’t give any weird vibrations in the car.

I’ve only had this car for a month I’m slowly going through and trying to replace or fix any issue. If anyone has any ideas let me know.

I will be checking trans fluid t case and dif fluid soon to rule that out. Also this car does have a lot stiffer mounts for the motor than OEM I’m not sure about the transaxle or any other mounts.

Here’s a video of the noise

sound like straight cut oil gears, is it a 6 bolt swap?
I’ll have to get under the car and look I don’t know right off the bat I’ve been going over known issues at the moment and rectifying them, however I do know the trans was rebuilt here’s a photo, it’s not a wild build tho looks like a normal rebuild to me

sorry I was referring the straight cut oil pump gears that can be found in six bolt engines. I mentioned straight cut gears which are synonymous with ppg/dogbox. If the stock motor it's likely the seven bolt

Oh yes my bad as far as I know the engine is virgin it does have bolt on but the previous owner told me the engine hasn’t been touched besides maintenance
