Howdy, when I'm driving normally everything is fine but as soon as I hit 0 or 1 psi my timing drops and never advances no matter what the boost level is. It stays at 3 to 5 degrees through the the whole rpm range. Oh yeah shes slow as dirt. Only when boost hits tho. I'm lost. What makes the timing increase or decrease and what would make it happen only on boost. I'll have to post a log later. Have to go in to work tonight but thanks for everything. Would a sensor cause it or is it more of a wiring issue.:banghead:

Your timing is off. I had the same problem before.

Could be.

I saw in his profile that he has link (i should have looked but with noobs i assume they havent filled it out).

OP hook up a timing light, go to the "Misc" tab in Link, and click "ground timing connector to ECU".

When you put the timing light on it, it should be 5 BTDC with the connector grounded.

If the timing is incorrect, adjust it and go for a drive. If it's correct take a log and post it so we can see what else might be a cause.

I will bet you a large amount of $ the timing is off. You dont need dsmlink to tell you that. A timing light is all he needs. There is a brown plug by the battery that needs to be grounded to the chasis with a alligator clip.

It could be off, i'm not saying it isn't. That said, other things could cause the issue also.

He has link, why screw with the plug by the battery and the alligator clips when you can do it with 1 click in Link?

I posted it so if other people see this in a search they know you can check timing without dsmlink.
Realistically, timing is the issue. The only other thing that would pull timing is knock...which he stated nothing about.

I'll have to check tomorrow after work and I'll let you know what I find. Maybe my timming jumped a tooth or something the other night. Appreciate all your input. Thanks again.

That's the wrong timing.

We're talking about ignition timing, not valve timing.

Actually, if it did jump teeth it would have the ignition timing off as well. You cant set the ignition timing properly if your valve timing is not correct.

Sorry for taking so long to get back. I was busy working on my other car and didn't sleep for 2 days straight then slept the whole day afterwards but anyways, I found out my crank jumped 2 teeth because my tensioner pulley was out of adjustment. Fixed that and every things back to normal. Thanks for everyones input.:ohdamn:
